DescriptionAlpine Travel bus DVG517 (YMB 517W) 1981 Bristol VRT SL3 ECW, 10 July 2006.jpg |
English: Alpine Travel bus DVG517 (reg. YMB 517W), a 1981 Bristol VRT/SL3 double-decker with ECW bodywork, pictured somewhere in Wales. It's in yellow school bus (Welsh:Bws Ysgol) livery.
It was new to Crosville Motor Services as their DVG517, staying with the company as it morphed into Arriva Cymru. In June 2000 it passed to Alpine, and by July 2005 it was painted into schoolbus yellow. The Llandudno based company has since upgraded its school routes in Conwy & Denbighshire from these sort of ex-public transport 74 seat double-deckers, to 70 seat dedicated school coaches. This bus was withdrawn in March 2009, and by October 2010 was with a dealer, awaiting scrapping. |
