Summary

DescriptionAltar der Peterskirche.JPG	Deutsch: Der Altar besitzt einen Barockaufbau mit Weinlaubsäulen aus dem Jahr 1687. Das Hauptbild zeigt den Kirchenpatron, dem ein Engel die Papstkrone aufsetzt. Der Maler dieses Werkes ist unbekannt. Dagegen kann das ovale Oberbild am Altar, das den hl. Paulus mit Buch und Schwert darstellt, dem bedeutenden Maler Johann Michael Rottmayr zugeordnet werden, der in Laufen geboren wurde und bis zum kaiserlichen Hofmaler in Wien aufgestiegen ist. Aus der Zeit des Kirchenbaus um stammen zwei Schnitzfiguren der hl. Petrus und Paulus. Bei der Restaurierung um 1965 wurden die nachträglich angebrachte Kanzel sowie die Empore entfernt und zudem ein Volksaltar aufgestellt, um die Vorschriften des Zweiten Vatikanischen Konzils zu erfüllen.
