Description
  • Altarpiece of the church of the Teutonic Knights (Deutschordenskirche) in Vienna, Austria. It was originally from the church of Our Lady in Gdańsk, Poland, sold to archduke Maximilian by the Prussian authorities.
  • Flemish winged triptych attributed to the polychromer Jan van Wavere in 1520. The artists that made the woodcarvings and paintings are unkwown.
  • The signature I. V. Wavere is stamped on to the small columns enclosing the central compartment.
  • Vivid woodcarvings scenes from the Passion of Christ.
