| Description | Die Postkarte zeigt das 1899 fertiggestellte alte Hebewerk, das die Verbindung Dortmund/Duisburg (über Rhein-Herne-Kanal) und Dort-mund/Papenburg (Ems) ermöglichte. Der Blick Richtung Westen zeigt die Zwiebeltürme im Oberwasser und die Stahlkonstruktion, die etwa 14 m Wasserstandsdifferenz ermöglicht. Das Hebewerk wurde 1969 stillgelegt, es ist heute ein Museum. |
