Amélie Diéterle is a French actress born in Strasbourg on February 20, 1871 and died in Cannes on January 20, 1941. She was legitimated in Paris in 1892 by Captain Louis Laurent, Knight of the Legion of Honor. Amélie Diéterle married in Vallauris on June 16th, 1930 with André Simon (1877-1965). Amélie Diéterle plays mainly at the Théâtre des Variétés in Paris during the Belle Époque. Photograph of the monthly illustrated magazine, The Theater, of the month of April 1901. She is represented here in the opéra-bouffe : « Labours of Hercules » by Gaston-Arman de Caillavet and Robert de Flers, on a music by Claude Terrasse. The role that Amélie Diéterle interprets is that of Queen Omphale.
