English: Traditional mat in Mandailing Bahasa Indonesia: Sebuah tikar terdiri dari tiga lapis pangkai pandan halus (tikar lapik langkat). Lapisannya berbatasan dengan kapas ungu, merah dan kuning. Karena bantal diletakkan di atas kepala ranjang, ujung kaki dihiasi dengan potongan persegi terbuka (renda atau trawangan) yang dikepang. Di balik ini ada kapas berwarna dan tembaga daun. Nama untuk kaki ujungnya adalah tampuan khaki, untuk kepala akhir kapalo. Sebuah amak namartompoan adalah nama tikar yang terdiri dari beberapa lapisan lapisan atas yang berisi hiasan benang emas. Tikar ini digunakan saat mengunjungi tamu terhormat. Menurut donor JE Jasper, tikar ini berharga 50 sampai 60 gulden pada awal abad ke-20. |
