Summary

edit
Description Bullfrogs are named for their loud, deep mating calls, much like bullhorns. They eat insects, fish, birds, snakes, baby turtles, and other frogs. Bullfrogs are native to the eastern United States, but they were released west of the Rocky Mountains more than a century ago. The frogs adapted to man-made ponds and waterways and are now a threat to native species of fish, snakes, birds, and other frogs – some of them endangered.
