Description

A model of this famous Sail Training Ship.

The Amerigo Vespucci is a tall ship of the Italian Navy, named after the explorer Amerigo Vespucci. Its home port is La Spezia, Italy and it is in use as a school ship.

It was launched in 1931. She is mostly operated in Europe but has gone as far as North and South America.

I once saw the real ship in an Italian harbour and have a picture her on Flickr.
