Description
English: The 15th Medical Battalion is maintaining a field hospital at Hammond Field approx 25 miles north of Qui Nhon and is in support of elements of the 1st Air Cavalry Division (Airmobile) on Operation Thayer in the area of Bong Son, that lies to the immediate north of Hammond Field. The 15th Medical Battalion is capable of treatment and light surgery. The litter bearers unloading an ARVN Ranger from an UH-1D helicopter at the 15th Medical Battalion. NARA 111-CCV-300-CC36396
