Summary edit

Description
English: Ananda Stupa - The Stupa with relics of Ananda, with Ashokan-pillar, is located at Vaishali, Bihar, India. It was the place where Lord Buddha gave his last sermon before leaving to Kushinagar where he achieved Mahaparinirvana. The Ananda Stupa was built to commemorate Ananda, the most well-known disciple of Lord Buddha. Emperor Ashoka built The Lion Pillar at Kolhua. It is made of a highly polished single piece of red sandstone. A life-size figure of a lion is placed on top of the pillar.
