Summary

edit
Description
English: A detail of sculpted stonework at the south end of the acropolis (on the west spring of the main arch, at the north exit of the arched gallery). Since this motif is totally different from the one on the other end of the arch (see last picture), it is probable that these are both reused artifacts from an earlier period. One of a series of pictures taken during a visit from end to end. The location is imported later, and only at some pictures, I use the centre of a picture as the spot to locate, and not the spot where a picture was taken (the more usual method). Descriptions are based on sources such as: ‘Guides Bleus: Turquie’ – Edition 1986 , ‘Guide Fodor: Turquie’ - Edition 1988 & Personal Visits (by a correspondent of the author in 1985-1999).
