A pretty heart warming story today – meet Michael. Michael is a recovering alcoholic who recently decided to go back to school. “It all started after my daughter was born, and when I held her in my arms for the first time, all I felt was this urge to do everything in my power to give her the best life possible. Until then, I’d never held down a job for more than a few months – I’d get into fights, I’d turn up to work late... most of it was because of my drinking. When Sarah was born, I decided that I had to get my act together. I haven’t touched a drink in six months, and have been training to become a heavy machinery technician. My relationship with my wife has gotten much better as well. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for my little girl – some people just need the right kick up the backside to improve themselves. For me, caring for Sarah was exactly the motivation I needed.”
