Merknad: I midten til venstre antagelig Andreas Moe (1883 - 1956), i midten til høyre antagelig Vilhelm Moe (1886 - 1973). Fotografen kan være Andreas Moes kone Sigrid "Sissi" Moe (1889 - 1970).

Frankernes kong Klodvig I (ca. 466 - ca. 511) ble døpt her år 496. Norge var 831 - 1103 en «misjonsmark» som organisatorisk lå under erkebiskopen av Reims. Jeanne d'Arc befridde katedralen fra engelskmennene 1429. Katedralen i Reims var den franske kroningskirken inntil 1825. Under første verdenskrig brant katedralen som følge av tysk bombardement allerede 20 september 1914. Restaureringen startet i 1919 og foregår fortsatt. Katedralen gjenåpnet i 1938.
