English: An aerial view of the Animal Health Station at Yeerongpilly in suburban Brisbane in 1933. This centre was established in 1909 to conduct trials and diagnostic studies into animal health problems. Known since 1954 as the Animal Research Institute the centre has grown into a major complex of laboratories and offices dealing with animal production, health and welfare issues. (Description from source) The Institute had vacated the site in 2011. |
