Beiträge zur Kenntnis der Anemone ranunculoides L. und der A. lipsiensis Beck. 291 und eine metatopische Deckung in ganz bestimmter Weise durch ganze, complicierte Inflorescenzen cymösen Charakters hindurch vertheilt sind, werde ich an anderer Stelle zu sprechen kommen; es handelt sich um die Gattung Pentastemon Mitch., Tetranema Bth., sowie um einige Gattungen der Gesneriaceen. Um zum Ausgangspunkte für diese Bemerkungen über die Eventualität meta- topischer Deckungen zurückzukehren, mag der Frage nähergetreten werden, ob die Stellung der Involucralblätter und das Verhalten der Secundansprosse sich an dasjenige anderer Arten der Gattung anschliesst, und inwieferne sich Analoges bei den anderen

Das hiesse indessen nichts Geringeres, als eine vergleichende Morphologie der Verzweigungssysteme der Ranunculaceen auszu- arbeiten, eine Aufgabe, für die es mir bei weitem an Beobachtungen fehlt; ich muss mich daher auf einige wenige Angaben beschränken, die sich auf Material beziehen, das mir gerade zur Verfügung steht. Zunächst aber, bevor die ganzen pleiochasialen, beziehungsweise in höheren Verzweigungsgenerationen dichasialen Verzweigungssysteme besprochen werden, sind die Vorblattverhältnisse zu erörtern. Die Secundanblüten der Anemone ranunculoides schliessen in der von Eichler angegebenen Weise an zwei Vorblätter an, deren Bestimmung keine Schwierigkeiten
