Summary edit

Description
English: Ontario College of Art Alumni, Toronto, Canadian Artist, Anne Isabelle McQuire Swartz, Palette Knife Artist, Woman Artist Anne Isabelle McQuire Swartz (Belle) was born in Parry Sound and raised in Forest Hill in a family of architects and engineers. A strong foundation of quality, style, grace, and beauty was captured in her presence, and was the life force behind her art. Belle graduated from L’Ecole de Beaux Arts in Montreal in 1943. She then moved to Toronto and studied fine art at the Ontario College of Art, graduating in 1946. As a favorite student of Franklin Carmichael, her mastery of color is unparalleled. It was at the O.C.A. that she met her husband Hugh Emerson Swartz from Chesley, Ontario. Together they started the successful commercial art company, Windsor Art Studios Ltd. As Assistant Art Director, she created package designs for many companies including Allan’s Chocolates, Avon, Kodak, and Roman Brio. She also produced many fabulous paintings, and hosted a number of successful art exhibits. Belle had a great strength of character and happiness which shone through her paintings. Belle painted passionately until her death on January 24, 2006, hosting her last show in November of 2005 in great health, strength, and determination. Belles’ works may be viewed on the website www.https://artistaims.blogspot.com/.
