Description
English: One of many pictures of a large mosaic, called the Pegasus Mosaic (because the winged horse figures prominently). I used one picture in the series several times, as it shows a lot. I moved it, turned it around, made several crops and show a colour-corrected version. Pegasus is in the centre.

Individually taken pictures are also in this series.

During works for a planned hotel extensive mosaics were found in Antakya. The work was halted and the decision made to build the hotel after the mosaics had been excavated. Also, to put the hotel on columns over it, with plenty of space to turn the lower part into a museum. During a stay in another hotel I visited the site, and was allowed to take pictures in part of the area, another part was waiting formal opening as a Turkish' state-run museum. Some pictures I took through a glass ceiling with the mosaics below, others from several spots where one could get close. A lot of perspective control was required, I did this to the best of my abilty. The whole excavated area holds not just
