Situada na Praça Velha, a Domus Municipalis, antigo edifício do século XVI, apresenta na fachada uma esfera armilar, as armas de D. Manuel, bem como uma lápide datada de 1646 que evoca o facto de D. João IV ter entregue a protecção do reino à Imaculada Conceição. Actualmente, encontra-se aqui instalada a Biblioteca Municipal Dr. Jaime Lopes.
