English: Approaching Dovey Junction Station. Train approaching from Barmouth. The most windswept station I know (next to Dudley Port !). There were sometimes lengthy waits on the station, should you get off here for a train to Aberystwyth. Because of the signalling and track layouts, the train from DJ would have to reach Machynlleth before the train could leave there for Dovey and Aberystwyth. I see from 581085, 1043049 and others, that improvements have now been completed to enable better services. |
