English: Approaching Sprow's Pits from the east. This section of Hickling Lane is narrow and hemmed in by dense vegetation on both sides. A farm track turns off the unnamed lane leading from Swardeston to Swainsthorpe > 1583870. A short distance further to the east it continues as Hickling Lane > 1586422. The lane traverses a small woodland called Sprow's Pits. A bridge > 1586447 carries it over the National Express East Anglia railway Norwich to London Liverpool Street mainline before it emerges on the A140 > 1586485 a short distance north of the village of Swainsthorpe. |
