| Description |
English: A personal experiment of planting Araucaria angustifolia in the semi-arid of Pacajus, Ceará, Brazil. The seeds came from Curitiba and were sprouted in Pacajus. Four seeds were used, two were sprouted and only one survived (the one in the photo). Sprouted in June-August 2022 in a pot. Transplanted into the ground in January 2023, being under shading mesh. Photo date March 2023 (7-8 months old plant). Up view.
Português: Um experimento pessoal de plantar Araucaria angustifolia no semiárido de Pacajus, Ceará, Brasil. As sementes vieram de Curitiba e brotaram em Pacajus. Quatro sementes foram usadas, duas nasceram e apenas uma sobreviveu (o da foto). Brotado em junho-agosto de 2022 em um vaso. Transplantado para a terra em janeiro de 2023, ficando sob tela de sombreamento. Foto de março de 2023 (planta com 7-8 meses meses de idade). Visto de cima. |
