Summary
editDescriptionArcos Herradura Cabecera Ermita San Pelayo (Villacibio) 001.jpg |
English: The rock Chapel of San Pelayo was excavated by the hand of the man in a sandstone Ridge near the bottom of the Valley. It is a single nave, which is separated from the header by a small wall partially preserved. The picture shows the header of the temple, which is divided into two rooms between them, but accessed through two similar to the horseshoe arches. At the bottom of the header, behind the arches, two small altars in niche with its corresponding hollows to save relics or liturgical objects. A 1155 document already mentioned this place like San Pelayo cave.
