Mønsteret i logoen er bruddstykker som er hentet fra typiske sørsamiske graveringsmønster, ofte gravert på hornbiter som man kan se på kniver og guksi (trekopper). Det som er i logoen er sammensatt av ulike typer mønster.

English: Logo for the Arctic Knot conference
The pattern in the logo consists of segments that are chosen from typical Southern Sámi engraving patterns, often engraved on pieces of horn which one can see on knives or on the guksi (wooden cups). The patterns used in the logo are a compilation of different types of patterns.
