Italiano: Collezione Boncompagni Ludovisi inv. 8602. La scultura è descritta da Plinio come opera dello scultore Skopas minore, attivo alla fine del II sec a.C. Raffigura il Dio della guerra in una posizione di riposo riconducibile all'iconografia del fregio fidiaco del Partenone. L'indicazione topografica del suo rinvenimento nel rione Campitelli ha fatto ipotizzare un nesso con la statua di Marte seduto posta nel tempio in Circo Flaminio
