Italiano: Il modello rappresenta un argano automatico provvisto di un sistema di sollevamento di colonne composto da due viti senza fine, lungo le quali è inserito un carrello che si muove su due madreviti. Le viti senza fine sono collegate a due ruote dentate collegate a loro volta a una manovella. Quest'ultima comanda anche, grazie a due cremagliere, lo scorrimento di un carrello a cui è appoggiata la base della colonna
Lavorando su sistemi già disegnati da Francesco di Giorgio Martini e da altri ingegneri, Leonardo perfeziona questo argano mobile per trasportare e per innalzare le colonne e gli obelischi.
