| Description |
English: Westover Shopping Center on Washington Boulevard, close to my house on Longfellow Street. It occupies the north side of the block between Longfellow and McKinley Streets. It had just about everything except a large supermarket. Features were a branch post office, Westover Market, and Ayers Hardware, all of which are still on the scene. Westover Market (dark brown and light brown at the far end) was a good, small food store. Ayers Hardware had a lot of items that were needed to maintain the old houses in the neighborhood. |
