Summary

edit
Description The 11th day of Armenian presidential election protests. At 7:30 am, the peaceful "camp-in" protest at Liberty Square in Yerevan was violently ended by Armenian special forces which used truncheons and electric shock devices to disperse the crowd of around 1,000. In this picture, the crowd of 1,000 first arrives at the French Embassy in background (foreground Miasnikyan Square). Within the next 3 hours, about 150,000 people will flood the square, forcing riot police and special forces to evacuate.
