Description
Français : Armentières — à la limite territoire de Nieppe,
L'usine de textile Charles Jeanson Tissage & Blancherie du Pont de Nieppe se situe à Nieppe, plus précisément dans le quartier du Pont de Nieppe et sur la rive gauche de la Lys. Un nouveau bâtiment semble avoir été construit entre la prise de ce cliché et le début de la Grande Guerre de 1914-1918 ; il se situe au niveau des arbres avant le bâtiment au toit de sheds (voir autre version). La cheminée dans le lointain fait partie des Ets de tissage et de blancherie "D. Fauvergue", très endommagés durant la Grande Guerre tout comme l'usine Jeanson précitée . En haut du mât de la péniche, la masse cubique constitue sans doute les fours de la briqueterie Debosque ; on n'y aperçoit pourtant pas sa cheminée qu'elle eut pourtant et encore visible dans les années 1960-1970.

English: Armentières - limit Nieppe territory, - the textile factory Charles Jeanson "Weaving & Blancherie Nieppe Bridge" is located on the district of Pont de Nieppe. Picture taken probably a few years before the WWI ; a new building seems have been built in the meantime, at the level of trees where there is a sauwtooth roof building and two to three spans building higher, (see other version)
