Français : "Anne-Louise-Bénédicte de Bourbon dite « Mademoiselle d’Enghien » puis « Mademoiselle de Charolais », duchesse du Maine, est une princesse française née à Paris 8 novembre 1676 et morte dans la même ville le 23 janvier 1753. Elle fut également, par son mariage, princesse consort de Dombes.
Petite-fille du Grand Condé, fille du prince de Condé, premier prince du sang, et de la princesse palatine Anne de Bavière (1648-1723). Très petite de taille, comme tous les membres de sa famille, elle est surnommée par sa belle-sœur Mademoiselle de Nantes, jalouse de sa naissance, « poupée du sang ». Violente, venant d'une famille où la folie furieuse régnait, elle menaçait son pieux mari de devenir folle s'il la contrariait et n'hésitait pas à lui faire des remarques blessantes sur son handicap." |
