Tintwistle to the north of Longdendale, where the Pennines rise again to over 400m. Tintwistle was traditionally in Cheshire, but is now in Derbyshire. Arnfield Brook, in Arnfield Clough This is a typical Pennine Clough, a series of waterfalls and the stream makes it way down through the layers of friable shales and hard millstone grit.
