Description
Deutsch: Bismarckbrunnen Arnstadt, Scan aus Foliant "Bismarck-Denkmal für das Deutsche Volk", Jubiläumsausgabe 1915 zum hundertsten Geburtstag des großen Kanzlers, Vaterländischer Verlag, C. A. Weller Berlin. Text unter Abbildung: In der schwarzburgischen Residenzstadt Arnstadt befindet sich ein Bismarck-Brunnen, der zu den originellsten Denkmälern gehören dürfte. In einem Doppelbecken erhebt sich ein stilisierter Baumstamm, von dem in drei übereinanderliegenden Reihen je acht Zweige ausgehen, an ihren Enden die Wappen der deutschen Bundesstaaten zeigend, die Bismarck zum Reiche einte. Gekrönt wird der Aufbau von einem Medaillon des Eisernen Kanzlers, unter dem das Reichswappen und das Wappen von Schwarzburg-Sondershausen angebracht sind. Der Bronzebrunnen kostete 15000 Mark. Es ist ein Werk des Professors Wrba in Dresden.
