DescriptionArsenical Fruitcake (5367346955).jpg |
Chemist John Wilson was among the FDA scientists who identified arsenic in several fruit cakes that resulted from careless home preparation in 1930. Though they contained enough of the poison to kill a person, the cakes were intercepted before effecting any harm.
