| Description |
English: Arthog: Afon Mawddach. Mawddach Estuary with the track of the old railway from Barmouth to Ruabon on the right, now the Mawddach Trail. Here it runs past the Abergwynant Woods, owned and managed by the Snowdonia National Park Authority. Shipbuilding, using local oak timber, was carried on along the shores of the estuary in the 18th century and vessels were still built here as late as the 1830s. |
