English: Tropical Depression One has remained nearly stationary this morning, July 1, 2014, east of the central coast of Florida. A northwestward motion is expected to begin later today, along with strengthening to tropical storm status. Numerical guidance shows favorable conditions for intensification with weak shear and developing upper-level outflow over the cyclone during the next 72 hours or so. The official intensity forecast now shows the system becoming a hurricane. The first tropical storm of the 2014 Atlantic Hurricane Season will be named Arthur.
