English: Prominent American Artist, Maye Torres is in Ethiopia under the Art in Embassies Program, which is a U.S. Department of State program that plays a vital role in U.S. public diplomacy by creating temporary and permanent exhibitions, publications, supporting artist programming, and providing an artistic bridge between U.S. and host country artists and ordinary citizens. Ambassador Haslach and Artist Maye Torres visited the Ethiopian Children’s Fund in Aleltu village in Oromia Regional State where Maye did an art demonstration for 60 disadvantaged students.
