Description
English: Arunchaleshvara Temple is a Shiva Hindu temple in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is a large temple complex with entrances from all four directions, built in the late 1st-millennium. It features shrines and sculptures for major Hindu gods and goddesses in Shaiva, Vaishnava and Shakti traditions. The temple complex has water tanks, pilgrim rest facilities, a community kitchen for free meals, darshan and prayer shrines, and numerous reliefs and sculptures.
