English: Ash and clearance cairn The pile of stones is due to all the hard work needed to fashion arable land out of the stony Glen Lochay. Lots of rocks would have been washed down the Allt Dhùin Croisg and scattered over the flat floor of the glen. These were gathered up into piles, later exploited by an ash tree. |
