Description
English: Assembly of the Cryostat Grid was recently completed in the cleanroom at SLAC. The Grid is the rigid Silicon Carbide structure that will mechanically support and maintain the precision alignment of the 21 Raft Towers and four Corner Rafts that make up the Camera’s focal plane. The Grid is on track for integration with the cryo-coldplate assembly, which will provide cooling for the Raft Tower Module electronics and focal-plane sensors, in April.
