Description
English: Donated by the Storoni Mazzolani heirs in 2007.

Running along the main side of the neck is a row of palmettes. The metopal panel depicts Dionysus and Ariadne banqueting with two musician satyrs framing the scene. Dionysus' legs are wrapped in a cloak (himation) and he faces backwards, his head crowned with vine shoots. Ariadne, her hair held in place by a headband, wears a chiton and faces her husband.

On the opposite side of the vase is a scene of departure: at the centre a bearded and draped male figure stands next to a horse, accompanied by two hoplites armed with Corinthian helmets, shields and spears. Dated to the last quarter of the 6th Century BC.
