Aubigné-Racan (Sarthe) Site archéologique gallo-romain de Cherré (Ier au IIIe siècle). Les thermes. L'entrée se faisait à l'Est par une porte avec un auvent (1). La cour dans laquelle ,on arrivait, la palestre) (3) est cernée par une galerie couverte (2). L'apodyterium (4) sert de vestiaire. On se frottait d'huile dans l'unctorium (5). Le frigidarium (6) était la salle froide, une piscine d'eau froide y a été rajoutée au IIe siècle. On commençait généralement par faire un peu de sport dans la palestre. Jeux de balle, lutte, etc...Ceux qui n'aimait pas l'effort allaient directement dans la salle tiède, le tepidarium. La partie chaude se situe vers le personnage. |
