English: Audlem Locks No 7, Shropshire Union Canal, Cheshire Fifteen locks in a two mile flight lower the water by 93 feet (about 28 metres). This lock has its own landmark Scots pine tree framed here by the arch of Snows Bridge.
An energetic boat crew experiencing no delays can do the job in under two hours, but around two and a half is more realistic. This can extend to four hours and even more during busy times. |
