English: Monument to August Wilhelm von Hofmann in Gießen, at the site of his birth house. This monument was created by sculptor Karl Baur from Munich in 1918, as can be seen in the inscription.
Deutsch: Gedenktafel für August Wilhelm von Hofmann, gestiftet von der Siemens-Ring Stiftung (*1916) und am 8. Juli 1918 an dessen Geburtshaus in Gießen enthüllt, rekonstruiert durch Stiftung Werner-von-Siemens-Ring. An dieser Stelle befindet sich heute Frankfurter Straße 1 in Gießen. |
