English:

Swedish immigrants August and Anna Brand were married in 1893. In 1903 the Brands purchased a hotel on First Hill in Seattle, which they named the Kalmar after Anna’s home town in Sweden. The children here are most likely Garfield, born around 1894, and Viola, born around 1895.
