Summary edit

Description
English: Ault Hucknall Church - 2. Every generation has added parts to this building. There are Saxon arches over a thousand years old and a Norman tower and north transept. Viewed here in front of the tower is the south transept (the Cavendish Chapel), which was erected in the Perpendicular style of the 15th century and later rebuilt by Robert Smythson in 1597 (see 1583578). The yew tree in front of the Church is estimated to be over 2,000 years old.
