This was taken by my father, who stopped to get a photo for me while working inside a part of Christchurch Airport members of the public aren't allowed in... Lucky me! Anyway, this very rare Austin is an Air New Zealand stair truck, and it has most likely worked at the airport, unregistered, for more than 40 years. The badge says Laird, but I believe this model is the Mastiff? Laird is possibly the coachbuilder who built the body. There was another interesting stair truck next to it as well... |
