Summary
editDescriptionAustralian 3-phase socket 32A vs 50A comparison.jpg |
English: The 32 A, 40 A and 50 A three-phase industrial plugs and sockets used in Australia are interchangeable, where a plug can be inserted into a socket of equal or greater current-carrying capacity. The purple arrows illustrate the keying tabs which allow a 50 A plug to be inserted into a 50 A socket, but not a 32 A socket. The lack of these tabs on the 32 A socket allows it to be inserted into both sockets. The 40 A socket (not shown here) has only some of the four keying tabs shown on the 50 A socket here. |
