English: The Telescope and Site (T&S) software team achieved a milestone during the first multi-instrument control test on Thursday June 7. This early integration activity successfully integrated three Auxiliary Telescope instruments: the monochromator, electrometer and SED spectrometer, by operating them in concert. The goal was to exercise the calibration procedure of the monochromator. Measurements of the light were taken using both the SED spectrometer (wavelength and intensity) and the electrometer (intensity). The team reported that, during the tests, it was gratifying to see the colors of the output light change and the clicking of instruments as they acquired data in response to the execution of the software commands. |
