Description
English: Avon buses 184 at Smithdown Place, Liverpool, England. The first buses of the day on the 183/184 route run from Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral, via Birkenhead then the Queensway tunnel to Liverpool and then on to Penny Lane via either Mill Street (184) or Mount Pleasant (183).

One of the small number of timetabled cross-river bus routes originating in Wirral that venture beyond Liverpool City Centre. (Another at the time of writing is the 122 Arrowe Park Hospital to Crosby & Fazakerley).

Avon buses have given notice to cancel the commercially operated routes183/184 effective 28th April 2013.
