English: : Science oranization sign at the entrance of City library named after István Várday (Est. 1954) - Flórián Square, Kisvárda, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, Hungary. Magyar: : Várday István Városi Könyvtár. Történet: 1952. november 1-jén megalakult a Kisvárdai Járási Könyvtár az akkori községi tanács épületében, 1954-ben már Piac tér 3. szám alatt volt, 1969-től a Lenin út 65. szám 1990-től a főterén (Flórián tér) lévő Sümeghy István házba (1869-ben ő volt a tulaj) 1886-tól a Kaszinó Egyleté majd az Ipar és Kereskedelmi Bank tulajdona. 1979-ig járási művelődési ház [1] [2] 'új városi könyvtár' néven helyileg védett műemlék, azonosító: -2241 és Diener-Bankház; könyvtár, azonosító 8279 (törzsszám 10230).
