Joseph von Bayern (1727–1777) im Hermelinmantel überm Harnisch mit dem Orden vom Goldenen Vlies und dem Ordensstern des bayerischen Georgsorden, dazu Brustbildnis seiner 1747 angetrauten Ehefrau Maria Anna von Sachsen (1728–1797) Tochter des sächsischen Kurfürsten Friedrich August II. und polnischen Königs August III., Brustbildnis der verwitweten Kurfürstin in mit Hermelinpelz verbrämter Robe mit der himmelblauen Schärpe und dem Ordenskreuz des 1783 von ihr gestifteten St.-Anna-Ordens, gering pastose Portraitmalerei in kraftvoller Farbigkeit, je Öl auf Leinwand, sekundär je auf Hartfaserplatte aufgezogen, beim Herrenbildnis rückseitig Etikett "Maxim. J. H. III. 1727 – B.G.W. pinx 1790" und beim Damenbildnis "Churfürstin Maria Anna 1728–97 – B.G. Weiß pinx 1790" wohl ehemalige Annotationen auf den Leinwandrückseiten wiedergebend, Craquelure, unterschiedlich stark restauriert, neuzeitlich als Pendants gerahmt, Falzmaße je ca. 64 x 52 cm.

Joseph of Bavaria (1727-1777) in ermine coat over armour with the Order of the Golden Fleece and the Order Star of the Bavarian Order of St George, with bust portrait of his wife Maria Anna of Saxony (1728-1797) daughter of the Saxon Elector Friedrich August II and Polish King August III, married in 1747, Half-length portrait of the widowed Electress in a robe covered with ermine fur, with the sky-blue sash and the order cross of the Order of St. Anne, which she donated in 1783, low impasto portrait painting in powerful colours, each oil on canvas, secondarily each mounted on hardboard, in the portrait of the gentleman labelled on the reverse "Maxim. J. H. III. 1727 - B.G.W. pinx 1790" and in the case of the lady's portrait "Churfürstin Maria Anna 1728-97 - B.G. Weiß pinx 1790" probably reflecting former annotations on the backs of the canvases, craquelure, restored to varying degrees, modern framed as pendants, folding dimensions each approx. 64 x 52 cm."
